Levitate: An Introduction

Levitate is a new podcast that seeks to help us better understand the unseen realm. American Christianity can be dry and watered down, even boring, because too many who call themselves leaders need to feel they must fully understand the things of the Lord before they can teach. This means they end up dumbing down the miraculous. I don’t believe we can ever fully understand the God of the universe and I’m fine with that. That is precisely what makes me want to seek to know and walk with Him. He is good and His ways are far above ours. He knows what we don’t and sees what we can’t. He alone is worthy to be praised.

He sits enthroned above the earth and looks down on His creation, this alone is a perspective none of us will have this side of eternity. He created each of us and knows us better than we know ourselves. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, so He was there in the beginning and knows the truth about the world and its inhabitants. He does not believe the lies and misconceptions that so many of us here on earth believe.

Why title it Levitate?

I understand that for some this word seems new age and something to avoid but I hear something different in this word. I hear a command to come up higher not by my power but that of the Holy Spirit. I feel a stretching that makes me see from a divine perspective. I can almost touch the train of His robe as I peer above the clouds into the heavens. And I see us fulfilling the verses in Colossians 3:1,2 that tell us that if we have been raised with Christ, we should seek the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God, and to set our minds on things above, not on earthly things.

As we seek to understand the solely spiritual aspect of our faith in Christ, I believe it will make walking with God easier and more enjoyable than ever.
